In Uganda, you'll find avocado trees growing in many home gardens. Known locally as "Ova" (especially in Central Uganda), these trees benefit from ideal weather and fertile soil, meaning the avocados are naturally organic. They're packed with potassium, which is good for your blood pressure, and healthy fats that can help with cravings and weight loss. Because they're shipped unripe to keep them safe during transport, you'll need to let them ripen a bit before eating.
